White out the Pep rally

The third annual Ashland Eagle Football Pep Rally will be held 7:30 p.m. Aug. 31st at Jack Miller Stadium with gates opening at 7 p.m.
The event will be open to all students, community members,faculty,andstaff members, whowould like to help support the 2016 Eagle football team on what hopes to be another successful and exciting season.
Ashland University is asking attendees to show their support by wearing white for an all white-out of Jack Miller Stadium.
Free t-shirts will be given to the first 500 students at the gate.
All students will receive five raffle tickets that will allow students to be in a drawing for a variety of Ashland Eagles clothing and prizes.
Students will have an opportunity to participate in various fun activities like Tug-O-War throughout the evening.
There will be speeches given by AU President Dr. Carlos Campo, head coach Lee Owens, along with this year’s team captains Brandon Gency, Travis Tarnowski, Adam Wallace, and Vance Settlemire.
AU Athletics eagerly looks forward to the event and anticipate a large turnout.
“We are also going to be promoting the Gridiron Club scholarship at the rally”, president of the sport communication club, Kylie Shober said.
The Gridiron Club was formed in 2007 to help promote the advancement of the AU football program.
The Eagle Athletics program will also be honoring former Gridiron Club member and founder of the AU football pep rally, Kenny Krupp at the pep rally who passed away Aug. 3rd 2016.
“This was his idea three years ago to get this started,” said Shober. “He was a big supporter of the pep rally, so we are doing this in honor of him.”
