Public Relations announces an upcoming “I <3 AU" social media contest
In the midst of a budget cut crisis, Ashland University announces a social media contest with cash prizes for students to proclaim “Why They Love AU!”
The Office of Marketing and Communications has recently announced a social media contest for students to express their love for Ashland University.
According to the email sent out, participants are to answer the following questions: “Tell us what makes AU special to you, why you chose to attend AU, how AU is transforming your life or how AU has helped you discover your life calling. Be original! Get creative! Have fun!”
AU staff members will serve as the selection committee, members will be asked to take into consideration the quality, message, and originality of the post.
President Carlos Campo said, “The purpose of the contest is to ultimately drive enrollment, so the funding comes out of marketing.”
Cash prizes include $1,000, $500 and $250 will go to the winners (via a credit to your student account).
Contest rules include create an Instagram post—photo(s), video or graphic—or a TikTok with an informative and entertaining caption explaining why you love AU with the hashtag #iheartau2023 by Feb. 13.
The winners will be selected by the committee and will be shared on the AU accounts on Valentine’s Day.
