In their first GLIAC road matchup, the men’s soccer team lost in a 3-0 decision against Northwood and a 6-0 decision with Saginaw Valley State.

In Game 1, Northwood was able to score their first goal in the 25th minute and remained the only point the scored in the half.

The Timberwolves’ other two points came in the 75th and 78th minute of the game. The first was a shot from the far post while the other was a shot that went over the Eagle’s senior goalkeeper Nick Ciraldo.

Ciraldo stopped nine shots in the loss, although the Timberwolves finished the game with a 20-4 shot advantage.

Game 2 did not prove to have a better result for the Eagles.

The Cardinals led 3-0 at halftime after scoring in the 14th, 27th and 42nd minutes of the game.

In the second half, they were able to score three goals again, allowing the Cardinals to grasp the 6-0 victory.

Despite their loss, Ciraldo played every minute of the game, making 30 saves for the Eagles.
