Fifth-year senior Zoey Peck has had an eventful past week on the AU women’s volleyball team. She has passed 5,000 career assists in her career, after clearing the mark in a matchup against Kentucky Wesleyan on Oct. 22.

Now just a few days later she was honored for the second week in a row as the Great Midwest Athletic Conference South Division offensive player of the week.

In two contests vs Trevecca Nazarene and Kentucky Wesleyan, Peck tallied 61 assists in two 3-0 wins. Not many points were played to put up such a large total of assists. She also added six kills, 15 block digs and three block assists.

Up to this point in the season, Peck has recorded 856 assists, 45 kills, nine service aces, 40 blocks and 194 digs. Peck has played a key part in the volleyball team’s success this season and will be in the push to the postseason with only 4 games remaining in the regular season.

Next up for the volleyball team is a conference matchup with Cedarville. The game will be played in Kates Gymnasium on Oct 28. at 7 p.m. against the Yellow Jackets who are 11-12 in 2022.
