After a rough match at home, the Ashland University Tennis did not catch a break. The Ashland Eagles women’s tennis team lost both of their road matches this past weekend.

On Oct. 8, the Eagles tennis team met up with the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals and lost 8-1. That one point for the Eagles was earned by freshman Brianna Brdicka with a 4-6, 7-5, 10-8 win over a junior Cardinal.

After their match against Saginaw Valley State, the women’s tennis team then headed up to face the Northwood Timberwolves.

The Eagles faced the undefeated Timberwolves, on Oct. 9, and lost 9-0.

With three fall matches left in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference the Ashland Tennis team is overall 0-8.

The Ashland Eagles tennis team will continue their long ride of matches on Oct. 15 in Big Rapids, Michigan at 10 a.m. against the Ferris State Bulldogs.
