Donald Trump Jr. speaks at Fin Feather Fur
October 24, 2016
Donald Trump Jr. visited Fin Feather Fur Outfitters in Ashland this morning.
Trump Jr. spoke the Ashland city members about change coming to Washington if his father is elected as well as the importance of voting early.
“Make sure you get out, vote early, get your friends and help be a part of the movement,” Trump Jr. said.
Relating to the audience, Trump Jr. shares his love of hunting and passion for getting people out into nature.
“It is an honor to be able to talk to sportsman around the country,” Trump Jr. said. “I am a big hunter, fisher and big outdoorsman. I am a pretty unlikely guy to be a big proponent of the outdoors and hunting, fishing and competitive shooting because I’m the son of a rich guy from New York, but early on in my life, my father and grandfather would take me out; it is important to get out in nature.”
Owner of Fin Feather Fur, Mike Goschinski, says it was the business’ persistency that allowed for Donald Trump Jr.’s visit to Ashland as well as their ongoing support of Trump and the second amendment.
“Persistence,” Goschinski said. “We kept asking to get Mr. Trump here and through the process of working with the Sportsman’s Alliance Club and folks here in Ashland country we were able to get Trump Jr., who is a big hunter so that was a perfect fit for us.”
Goschinski believes having Trump Jr. speak at the Fin was a perfect fit, as a primary advocate for society’s second amendment rights.
“Ashland is the home of nice people and we want more nice people to come and learn about Ashland,” Goschinski said. “It is a big positive for Ashland County where the second amendment is very strong, hunting and fishing are huge here so it is great to get someone like Trump Jr. here.”
Republican Vice Presidential candidate Mike Pence will also be in Ashland this week. A rally will be held in the John C. Myers Upper Convocation Center at 2 p.m. Oct. 25. Ashland University is one out of three stops he will be taking tomorrow across Ohio. He will also be visiting Swanton, Ohio and Marietta College.
