The Ashland Symphony Orchestra opens September 10th for their 53rd season

The opening concert is set to take place September 10th at the Robert M. & Janet L. Archer Auditorium.

The Ashland Symphony Orchestra hosts its 53rd season by opening with “Fanfare for a New Beginning”

Concert season begins Sept. 10, with ASO’s new Music Director and Conductor Michael Repper conducting Finlandia by Jean Sibelius, Ethiopia’s Shadow in America by Florence Price, and Symphony No.2, op.75, D major by Johannes Brahms.

The concerts will be hosted in the Robert M. & Janet L. Archer Auditorium located at Ashland High School.

According to the press release, Repper says, “We are going to make tremendous music together and enjoy a wonderful communal spirit. Our concerts are a place for everyone – come and enjoy, and be sure to introduce yourself! Our musicians and I are incredibly proud to share our work with you, and we hope you enjoy every minute!”

Season subscriptions are now on sale for $120 for adults and $105 for seniors ages 65 and up. To purchase individual tickets, adults are $24 and $21 for seniors. Student and children tickets are free with the purchase of an adult or senior ticket. Free tickets are only available by phone or at the door.

Saturday, Oct. 8, “Dynamic Duos” featuring pianist Vijay Venkatesh performing Clara Schumann’s Piano Concerto, op.7, A minor
The annual Family Holiday Pops concert on Sunday, Nov. 27
“Classical Rock” on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023, in collaboration with local band Tom’s Kitchen Table

“Color Me Happy!” on Saturday, March 4
Concluding with “Triumph & Celebration” on Saturday, April 1.
