With the mask mandate being lifted across campus, students and faculty have begun to reminisce about times before the COVID-19 pandemic. As activities and classes return to normal, the student health center continues its job as the university’s doctor’s office.

Throughout the entire pandemic, the student health center has continued their normal day-to-day operations as well as helping with COVID-19 patients and isolation cases. Registered nurse Patty Owens talks about the confusion surrounding the availability of the student health center.

“We are still full service, what we have always been,” Owens said. “We see dermatology, we see women’s health, we see injuries, we do immunizations, we do allergy and STD testing. We work just like an urgent care or doctor’s office.

There will be another mass COVID-19 testing in Redwood Hall on Monday, Mar. 14 and Tuesday, Mar. 15. Students are also still required to wear masks in the student health center and at testing sites.
