The Ashland University STUNT team has only found success in starting their year in conference play.

In their opening weekend, the Eagles took down the Tiffin Dragons and the Ursuline Arrows. This past weekend, they continued excellence downing the Dragons once again while also defeating the Hiram Terriers.

On Sunday, Feb. 19, the Eagles traveled north to Tiffin University for the duel contest and started their day at 1 P.M. against the Terriers.

The Terriers, recognized as a Division III school, joined the Great Midwest Athletic Conference as an associate school for the season.

In that opening contest, the Eagles and Terriers were close at the end of the first quarter, 4-3. That scoreline would remain tight in the second quarter as the Eagles led, 6-5.

The second half would be where they separated themselves from one another as the Eagles outscored them 11-6, for a final score of 17-11.

With confidence brewing, the Eagles then blew out the Dragons in their 3 P.M. contest, 19-3. The 19-3 win is the team’s second-highest score in a match this season, with their highest being 22 against the Dragons in the season opener.

Last season, the Eagles surpassed the 17-point mark just four times, through four games they’ve already matched that.

Now with a 4-0 record, they look to take on Davenport and Central Michigan on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 12:30 P.M. and 3:00 P.M.
